Shift: 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 12pm Friday
Pay: £13.00 – £13.50 per hour

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to support its manufacturing and logistics operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, a flexible approach, and experience working in a yard or industrial environment.

You will be responsible for yard operations, goods handling, and nationwide deliveries, ensuring materials and finished products are moved safely, efficiently, and on time.

The Role

• Driving a company van to undertake nationwide deliveries as required
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to load and unload goods and machinery (FLT licence essential)
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Managing goods in and goods out, including checking deliveries and paperwork
• Moving materials and products around the yard and workshop areas
• Supporting production teams with loading requirements
• Carrying out general yard duties, including keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe
• Managing and sorting recycling and waste materials in line with company procedures
• Following all health and safety regulations and safe systems of work

About You

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
• Full UK driving licence with experience driving vans
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
• Good awareness of health and safety
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
